Though not mentioned above, the “max bid” has worked wonders for me.

I placed a max bid of $10 on something with 3+ days left. For those 3 days I was the leader with a $8ish bid. Then at the VERY last second, someone bid $10. But since I had set a max bid LONG before this other person, the auction was MINE! I know this doesn’t normally work, but I was really thrilled when it did that time :)

I really do not like bidding on ebay, I think they should have a search filter that has the Buy Now filter, so we can see all the products that you DONT have to bid on, I have never bought anything on ebay that was a bid. Its so much easier, just get it instantly, and sometimes you don’t notice, but the bid goes over the actual products price.

I think Ebay is a great idea, and great place for getting things pretty cheap, and getting things you usually cannot get.

Also check the seller feedback thoroughly, see why someone has negative and also check the positive feedback, if something doesn’t seem right, then don’t bid

These really are rules to live by on ebay. They’re all excellent. Some may seem like common sense but someone just starting with ebay, they might need them pointed out. :)
