@sistaa Forbidden Kingdom: “That’s called strike. Tomorrow teach you block!” lmao And then the fight between Jackie Chan and Jet Li <3 been waitin for that for long time.
@Spankee: yeah I should’ve put that one in the post. First time I saw that movie I had no idea he was dead. My heart sank to my toes on that one.
@Crisi: I watched that movie the night I read your comment. Yeah, that’s an awesome part. I also love it when they’re comparing battle troops in the beginning. “You see? I brought more warriors than YOU did :)” lol
@Amanda: Nice post on Traffic. Yeah I love that part too. I have that movie on VHS \o/

These are all very good moments, you’re right :)

Another one that I LOVE from Heat is the last scene……the music, the action, the acting. It’s all fabulous.

I would also add…

1) Shawshank Redemption: The scene where Andy emerges from the water in the rain and just turns his face up towards the sky and reaches out. Awesome.

2) Traffic: The last scene in this movie. Javier sits in the bleachers at a kid’s baseball game and watches. The music (Ascent by Brian Eno) sums up the mood beautifully. Perfect ending to a perfect movie.

3) 21 Grams: Another Benicio del Toro moment :) The scene where he is visited in prison by the minister at his church. He basically tells him that because of what has happened, he has lost his faith in God. The dialogue and the acting is some of the best I’ve seen.

I have to totally agree with the Lord of the Rings one. I know I’m a geek, but I watch all 3 of those movies over and over again and still cry and some of the scenes. There are just some great movies that are so richly done that you just have to see them again and again and hope for some little something you missed the first hundred times you watched it. I know I see new stuff everytime.

I know this is a oldie but goodie!
I still get the chills from The 6th Sense. I can’t get over how all throughout the movie Bruce Willis think he’s alive when infact, he was dead all along! GOOSEBUMPS I TELL YOU!

I really like the scene in ‘The Forbidden Kingdom’ when Jackie Chan is narrarating about Kung Fu.’ “Hard work over time to accomplish skill” and all that good stuff.

Great topic! I love the back story on Mike Singletary. I think most people have those kind of ‘go to’ places whether it’s in book, on a movie, or a cd etc.
As far as my opinion on your top 5, I cannot decide between the scene in Heat and the one in True Romance. True Romance is my favorite movie and I love all of it’s scenes, but it’s impossible not to love Al Pacino and Robert Deniro as adversaries having a cup of joe!
