		<description>Were it not so expensive, I&#039;d live there.  But real estate is very expensive regardless of which Island.  Then everything costs more because nearly everything must be shipped there and they haven&#039;t found any 18 wheelers to cross the ocean.  So things cost more, but salaries aren&#039;t as high as the cost of living.  It is less expensive to heat and cool than the mainland, but that&#039;s about it.

There are a lot of good things that merit comment: The sense of Ohana (family) is very strong and the complete natural beauty is breathtaking.  But keep in mind that the population is relatively low.  I lived on Kauaii where the population was but 80k along with about 1M tourists.  Get past the tourists and all is well.</description>

		<description>I lived there for a year. Went there to surf for the most part and see a girlfriend who moved there. Coming from California the first thing I found was that it is a small area. Drive an hour and you are back where you started from. They call it rock fever so I came home. I&#039;ve been back several times but I couldn&#039;t live there. Nice place to visit though.</description>
