City Loop; if you visit there, do try to catch the local band, "Jake's Leg" ( http://www.jakesleg.com/ ). As they say in the Biography section of their website, they don't just do Grateful Dead covers, they interpret the music and play it with their own style. I have talked to Dave Casper on several occasions. He studied Jazz guitar at two different Universities (I forget now which ones...it's been several years ago). He is an exceptional guitar player, and the band is very tight and very good. You mentioned the U. Additionally, you'll want to eat at some good restaurants while you're there. If you like pizza, you simply cannot miss an Imo's Pizza while you're there. Made from provel cheese (a local favorite that blends provolone, swiss and mozzarella, I believe), this pizza is to die for! Like Italian food? Don't miss a visit to 'The Hill' for some wonderful italian food. All and all, I hope anyone visiting St. Louis has an awesome time. This city is gorgeous in the summer with its many flowers. PS - Drury Inn is a very reasonable and nice place to stay -- with good amenities, too. These are great places to visit, for sure!

Go outside St.Louis back out near the Airport and I270 durring the day, and you can stop in at the HOME of BIGFOOT. Yep, The monster truck GIANT may be home. Forest Park also has the art museum and the Muny Opera, an outdoor theater with famous plays and musicals every summer.
