You mentioned the U. City Loop; if you visit there, do try to catch the local band, "Jake's Leg" ( http://www.jakesleg.com/ ). As they say in the Biography section of their website, they don't just do Grateful Dead covers, they interpret the music and play it with their own style.

I have talked to Dave Casper on several occasions. He studied Jazz guitar at two different Universities (I forget now which ones...it's been several years ago). He is an exceptional guitar player, and the band is very tight and very good.

These are great places to visit, for sure!

Additionally, you'll want to eat at some good restaurants while you're there. If you like pizza, you simply cannot miss an Imo's Pizza while you're there. Made from provel cheese (a local favorite that blends provolone, swiss and mozzarella, I believe), this pizza is to die for!

Like Italian food? Don't miss a visit to 'The Hill' for some wonderful italian food.

All and all, I hope anyone visiting St. Louis has an awesome time. This city is gorgeous in the summer with its many flowers.

PS - Drury Inn is a very reasonable and nice place to stay -- with good amenities, too.

Don't forget our World Famous St. Louis Cardinal's baseball team who recently hosted the All Star game.

Grant's Farm is also free and is owned by Busch (now In-Bev). More free beer at the beer garden as you roam the park full of exotic animal species, (even an elephant)!

Forest Park also has the art museum and the Muny Opera, an outdoor theater with famous plays and musicals every summer.
