ABOUT TOOLS.
Around the house for the for the simple minded (and I don’t mean retarded or stupid, only not versed in repairs) the tools are not complicated. Harbor Frieght is a very cheap place to got some of them.
A set of screwdrivers, Phillips and straight . a hammer with curved claw. drill ( 3/8 or small 1/2 with a collection of drill bits, their box of drill bits with the coating works well.) Remember these tools arn’t professional grade, only for occasional use until you decided which ones are the most important and get a better one. Black and Decker is a good brand, Craftsman, Ryobi, Delta, Ridged. You might want a power sander, maybe both a belt and a finishing sander. Pliers, I suggest a slip type, one small one larger, and perhaps an electrical with side cutters. If you are going to paint then you need a good brush, different brush for different types of paint. A measureing tape of 25 ft, a hand saw (crosscut) a portable power saw (skill saw type) or perhaps a jig saw. For repairing pipes you nee the number of a good plumber, watch him and ask questions, then get some of his recommended tools.
Nothing is hard to repair around the house, just takes a bit of thought how things are put together then mimic them. Skill comes with practice. Electrical—PUT THE BATTERIES IN, TAKE THE BATTERIES OUT– CALL AN ELECTRICAN NEXT. Frayed cords and broken ends can be fixed with a little thought of how but the inside of a toaster should not be undertaken without knowledge of working and electricity.
Didn’t mean to make it so long.. but the basics can be found at Harbor Frieght, Home Depow, Lowes, Wal-Mart- and dozen other places. No need to buy expensive things,, DeWalt, Milwaukee, and so on,, Chicago Electric is made in China, a cheap brand but works if not pressed too hard.. Good buy though.
