Tool Maniac

I had way too much fun with Radio tonight. So much fun, in fact, that I returned the template back to the way it was when I first started. I'm understanding its power more and more with every passing hour – and that's a good thing. Dave showed me how it can handle RSS feeds, although I'm not convinced it's better than what I have (only becaues I've got total control over how the headlines are displayed). To see what I'm talking about, click on one of the new sidebar “Headline” links. Up will pop a window which includes the linked site's most recent XML / RSS feed. I parsed it using RSS Monkey.

What I'm probably going to end up doing is posting interesting bits of tech news to my Radio blog and my personal quips here. I suppose it depends on how comfortable Gretchen is with it. She loves the Comments feature of Movable Type too much. I think the simplicity and locality of Radio UserLand will tip the scales (in Radio's favor). It still needs an easier hosted URL, though. In time, in time.

Hi Chris. I have no experience of Movable Type but do have experience of FrontPage (totally different products I know), but the more time I spend with Radio – the more it grows on me!
Its exremely quick to post updates is the bottom line – a no brainer! It also (mostly) works and does what it is designed to do. Impressive.
I agree with your comments – currently awaiting http://www.mytechradio.com to come online!!! ;-)
Steve.
PS. I enjoy c:\PIRILLO.EXE as much as lockergnome itself! Also the Gretchen site – the little comments from you on her site crack me up! heheh
