Some things I do to help if i'm in the mist of an anxiety attack are take deep breaths, do something calming like take a bath, or watch t.v.

I have been struggling with depression/stress and anxiety for awhile now. I myself try to keep away from those factors. But, slowly my financial condition is getting in my way. Have 2 jobs, one its during the day i am a intern, and i am working part time as a store clerk. My savings account is getting smaller and smaller, and i have weeks to go to finish my internship. Because all of that, sometimes i don't sleep at nights. I stopped going out, that is impacting my social life. And everything repeats in a circle. its hard to run away.
But, i am starting to turn my life around, i eat better, slowly getting more exercise and this help's to take some of the stress out.

I agree, that the factors Financial Condition, Health Condition etc… are the biggest stress factors. I am on medication for it, which I do not like taking, but without it I don't feel like me.I have tried the all of the above except stopping smoking. Which i really need to do.Another thing that can help so much is finding that right friend/girlfriend/boyfriend and just tell them your problems. get it off your chest. Then you will have someone that understands why you are stressed and you don't have that feeling that you are some kind of freak. I've found that talking to my wife (fiance) is the best thing. She understands everything that is going on in my life and it's not easy to cope with (it's not your normal every day stress) and i feel at ease knowing that I have at least one person in this world who understands why and where i am coming from. My worst problem was holding everything in and trying to be the "strong man with tons of pride, blah blah, etc...", but once you can let that go with someone you trust it helps a lot. TRUST ME! People deal with stress in so many different ways. You have to find your way that will relieve some of it; computer, golf, surfing, skating, music, etc... there are so many things that you can do. I actually have certain movies I watch that for some reason, and i don't know why....but they bring my stress level down. Maybe it's just the fact that i'm laying on the couch with someone (be it my fiance or a good friend) and just relaxing and watching a movie). There are people that i know (like my fiance who can take on so many things and take control of it with ease). Then again, there are people like me who can still cram everything into a day that's very stressfull but it effects my body.Read books on this stuff, it might sound fruity and some of you might think it's stupid (i did at first), but one of my first managers at one of my first jobs was like a father away from home and I started getting my anxiety attacks there. he gave me a book that basically tells you to understand that there are things in life that you just CAN NOT control, therefore do NOT try and control them because by doing so you are doing nothing but adding stress to your life. I could go on and on about this. I have been through test after test for my heart to make sure it wasn't heart related and it's nothing but stress and the way my body handles it. Unfortunately it's medication that fixes my problem and I wish it wasn't because it is a medication that is highly addictive and I will (with my condition, and some of it is something else that is genetic that has to do with my nervous system) most likely be on this medication for he rest of my life. I hated the idea at first, but I also hated not feeling like me. I grew up hard and was very mature by the time I was 15yrs old (working full time). So maybe things in your child hood trigger it.The point is to find your own way to deal with it and try and get it under control because it CAN kill you and not many people realize that. it's a scary thought, but it's true.

I have to agree with this entire post as I am victim to extreme panic attacks and anxiety.
