I will send the link to this to my friends and family who want to upgrade but don't know where to start, great starting information. Even more, I'll tell them to come to this website to get information about technology, well at least to my friends. Thanks for the help Chris.

These tips are very helpful. I started out with a $150 basically bare bones PC that I bought from a friend of mine years ago. When ever I could afford a component I'd upgrade something on it. Today the only thing left form the original PC I bought is the DVD drive. Everything has changed including the case. One of my favorite places to go to find out about compatibility and hardware is http://www.tomshardware.com/ They have great reviews, charts and info on everything you may need to know.

All these tips are great.
