My cat developed nose cancer from sun exposure. Anything that cuts down on UV rays could have spared him the trauma. BTW light colored cats are five times as susceptible to cancer (usually on their nose, eyelids, ears, than dark or Siamese cats. Never thought I’d see this on Chris’ show of all things. Thanks!

i dont live in la. i live in a beach town were we live 10min. from the beach and there is no pollution and the temperature is almost the same the whole year. doesn’t get too hot, doesn’t get to could. it’s a great place to live.

Be sure and use a window tint film made for use on home windows. Automotive grade tint is not made for use on on house windows.

Although some may think that window tinting is a “does it yourself” project, there is a BIG learning curve. If you care how good the look is going to be, go with a pro. Also, be advised that not all windows can be tinted with just any kind of film. I have heard of problems with double pane windows losing their warranty because of window film. I have used the non adhesive / static cling type film at homes in Florida and North Carolina. The energy savings is great. The view…..not so great. But for a blind man, what does it matter?

I’ve seen ConEd ads about tinting your windows to save energy, I didn’t really get the direct reason why it would save energy, but now I do.

That Bonus tip would appeal to a lot of people though.

I’m such a nerd. I read the title and I wondered
“why or how do you tint Microsoft Windows.” The idea of windows like glass never came into mind.

yea tint your house does save you energy but doesnt the double pain windows or sumthing like that would also help you keep the heat inside your house? im pretty sure it does…but hey they also make the room alot cooler in the summer so its a two for one! XD
