Tickets for Spamalot

I did it. I saw my first Broadway musical tonight! Ponzi scored tickets to Spamalot. Since she's not much of a Python fan, and since you could only buy tickets in twos (meaning, we'd have to get four and sell off one) – Jake and I went together without her, on Ponzi's request. It was all for the better, I think. Had Ponzi come with us, I would have been interrupted every other minute with “What's that mean?” and “Why's that so funny?” Spamalot was worth every penny. Pay the extra dough to get front-row seats if you can do it (ours were 16th row center). You're not a Monty Python fan unless you go. Out of all the musicals I've ever seen or heard of, this was the one I'm happy to have handed my Broadway virginity. Seeing David Hyde Pierce and Hank Azaria in person was awesome – they were amazing. I didn't think a stage cast could top the original cult classic of Monty Python and the Holy Grail, but they did. I can't think of a time that I wasn't grinning from ear to ear – but I'm not going to ruin any of the jokes, gags, or songs for those of you who are going to see it. And yes, you ARE going to see it. It's Spamalot – if you like Pythonalot.
