Yes, there are more games for a PS2 but that's because it's been out a year longer. Over all, the Xbox is a more powerful machine and the graphics are much better. More games will be coming for Xbox, that's a given and when they do, they will have better graphics and run faster. Plus the on board 8 gig hard drive is a nice feature for saving games and other things than some little memory card. I really like mine. Now that we use the Xbox joystick a bit, we love it.
