The Wedding Photos
I think that our wedding may have been the most Flickr’ed ever! I’m trying to locate and link to everybody’s online album – and I know that many more photos will come as soon as they can be uploaded. If you have photos of our wedding, and I don’t link you here, please let me know ASAP. Many friends have been using the “pirillowedding” tag, by the way…
As most wedding couples do, we spent a lot of money on official wedding photography – and those photos turned out quite nice. However, there’s something to be said about snapshots taken by your friends and family members. A photo means more to me when I know and truly care about the person who took it. Again, I’m not trying to diminish the role of the traditional wedding photographer – but by all means, you must let those closest to you capture memories on digital film as well.
It was a wonderful day…

Now, if you took photos, even if you’ve already posted them online, I would like to give you access to an FTP site where you can upload the originals for me, too – so that I might collect them easily and share them with our broadband-challenged families? By the way, pay particular attention to Ted’s set – it’s super-special for several reasons. And if you want awesome wedding photos, hire Kris Krug (tell him that Chris and Ponzi sent you and he might work out a special deal with you). He’s in the Pacific Northwest / Vancouver / Seattle area, so… don’t be shy.
Amaze your friends the next time they beg you to come over and fix their computer problems. posted on your website…the ceremony, the vows, your experiences, all of it. So wonderful to share that with the world. And it gives me some ideas for our own upcoming nuptials…so thank you! P.S. If there is a wonder why I picked this photo out of all of them out there, to me it totally symbolizes their relationship. They make each other laugh. Sure there is that love thingy, but the laughter…oh the laughter. *That* is what will keep you strong – in good times and those other moments.

Just curious how your wedding photos rate on Flickr to the Grand Rapids Marathon, http://flickr.com/search/groups/?q=grmarathon06&w=56567614%40N00&m=pool&s=rec&z=t. They gave away a prize to the best photo from the event and had well over a 1,000 photos when I stopped looking. The best thing is that those from the GR group were given press passes and could go basically wherever they wanted to get pictures. It was a great idea

Hi Chris,
Congratulations!!! I’ve been married for 12 years now and its the most challenging and transforming decision I was ever lucky enough to make.
Not sure if you remember me from when we first met at the Podcast Hotel, and I know you will be extraordinarily busy for a while, but I know that you (and some of your readers) have an interest in UFOs and I wanted you to know that I just posted the first part of my interview with Peter Davenport, director of the National UFO Reporting Center. He’s a really nice guy and had some great stories to tell, the second part will be even better. Anyways, I hope you enjoy it and would love if you could put a link out there somewhere for me. I sent you an email, but imagine that you’ll be buried in emails for quite some time so thought I at least comment about it here. Feel free to remove it if its an inappropriate location…

I agree with you about Ted’s photos. I love how he captures the little details like curlers in hair, and rose petals, and wine glasses, and the candid shots. The are the kinds of pictures I loved from my wedding. Our wedding photographer snapped many candid pictures in between the formal poses, and caught wonderful shots of our family laughing and de-stressing together.
Congratulations!

Still lots to talk about, although we missed the Tom Ford perfume and never did get to the dangers of underwear and flash photography! [...]

Chris,
Congrats on your wedding! Sorry about this rather shameless pitch, but as you’ve just gotten married I wonder if you might be able to give me some advice on how to get the word out about a new website I’ve just released called Wedding Mapper (www.weddingmapper.com). I am trying to figure out what online resources are the best to get in touch with to get the word out. Any thoughts would be most appreciated.
Best,
Jared
