A few weeks ago, I was given the opportunity to go on a shopping spree at Sears, using $500.00. I could do anything I wanted to, and decided to buy toys for kids who otherwise wouldn’t have any this Christmas. Now I have the chance to give one of you some toys, as well.
Many of the toys I found at Sears made me remember my own childhood. I know the kids who will receive the toys Ponzi and I bought would otherwise not have gotten them. I can think of no better way to spread joy than to give things away. Ponzi and I were like kids in a candy store, running through the aisles and checking everything out. We were literally giddy! When we dropped them off at the donation site, the people there were just as excited as we were.
Now IZEA is going to allow me to give you a gift bundle worth $500.00! There are three different bundles you can choose from if you win. You can choose:
- LEGO Wonderland - A variety of LEGO toys and books.
- Star Wars Smiles - Filled with Star Wars toys and games!
- Family Game Night - Several different family board games.
You can enter up to three times! Here’s how:
- Leave a comment stating which bundle you want, and why, in Receiving the Gift of Giving. Understand, it’s only on that post where your comments will count. Commenting here isn’t gonna do you much good, unless you really want to leave a comment here for another reason.
- Post to your twitter account if you have one, making sure you include - #Sears @chrispirillo http://bit.ly/giftwish - and whichever bundle you desire in your tweet.
- Make an entry in your own blog if you have one, making sure you link back to this particular post URL and mentioning which bundle you want (and why). I register most trackbacks after I’ve received at least one click from your permalink to mine.
So there you have it… another giveaway! Good luck to everyone!

Lego, Lego, Lego and more Lego. My nephew needs more Lego. Can’t build our Secret Base of Ultimate Evil and Doom with long range lazer cannon and shark tanks for our little guys yet cause there’s not enough parts.

Great post its good to know that your trying to make other kids happy and I am all in favor of you doing this! I personally donate to charitys like Concern, Trocaire and events like Live Aid. But you doing this to make kids that wont have a great christmas like us shows us that you really care about the less fortunate. Its such a nice feeling to get when you know that you are helping others! And you acting as Santa Clause to all those kids is just wonderful.
Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to all!

I would sit and play with my three children (all under the age of 9)… and it would not matter which one we received… we would be appreciative of your spirit of giving in these hard economic times.

I choose the Family Game Night package because Krystyn loves games, and if I win, I’m giving it to her because she rocks!!

I would individually wrap each toy, stick a gift tag from the K-Mart Wishing Tree http://www.kmart.com.au/community/wishingtree/default.asp , and make a little wish for those gift tags still hanging there, that someone will find them a prezzie too.
But since I’m too far away and the postage will cost more than $500, I’d give it to Krystyn. She can be Mrs Claus and hand them out for me :)

Hey their Chris what a very generous and exiting thing you did. I loved the reaction you said you got from the place witch distributed the toys. I know that feeling of giving something that is not needed nor is used. It’s a nice feeling of joy and makes you a bit more holly for Christmas!

If I got the Lego Wonder land, I would make my kids so happy. Just seeing the smiles on their faces would make me the happiest man alive, plus I have always loved Lego and so I would also be able to bond with them big time, and I find that a rare thing. I do not have much money, so I really thing any of the sets would complete their Christmas!
Thanks for the opportunity Chris!

If i got the LEGO Wonderland I would give it away to my poor neibores kid, because when I was a kid I was lucky enough to have alot of toys, my dad and mom were always there for me.. and sometimes giving what to you is a simple plastic toy can make a child smile, and some times a simple smile is all you need too feel the gift of giving…

What a sight you guys must have been at the Sears Toy Shop! And, don’t lament too much about not seeing the faces of the kids as they receive their toys, in the big picture of life what goes around comes around. The gifts you launched into the deep shall come back to you as pleasant “re-joys”.
I grew up with Star Wars….
