That One Guy
Thanks to Bob Laurence, I think I may have eliminated this page's dependence on tables altogether. This is important, as I'll be sharing my blog on international television tomorrow. Someone's asking “what it is” - and I'm aimin' to tell him. It's like I told another blogger-wannabe this afternoon: your personal and professional life will flourish if you do one. We were sipping soda water at a local cafe, pondering when the industry would crawl out of its slump. As we were talking, another dude walked into the place and said to me: “Aren't you the guy who broke that one old record player thingy?” Kinda. “One of our IT guys just sent the video to everyone at Sega; we've been laughing about it all day.” That clip has apparently gone viral. Great. I'm always going to be known as “that one guy,” completely replacing the world's memory of “that other guy.”

Love the template. :) So, what TV show is this that your blog will be featured on? I dont want to miss it. Is this Call for Help? I'd feel like a real fool for asking this if that is the case. ;) hehehe But otherwise, please share what show this is so we can catch it! :)

I've tested it on IE 6 and Mozilla on the PC. On the Mac on Safari, Mozilla (chimera and netscape also) plus IE. Nice.

Was that old phonograph really priceless ? I was just waiting for the old guy to say F*** , but he settled on S***. I wonder how much that accident cost him. I'm surprised Chris didn't start laughing immediately when this happened. I have no idea what your talking about here with the code and stuff but the new site looks cool. Later Peeps.

Hey - I'm that “blogger wannabe”!! And now I've dropped the wannabe part - as of a couple of minutes ago (and past my bedtime), http://www.danrochman.com is alive! Thanks for that kick in the pants, Chris. Now I'm just gonna kick back and flourish…

That clip is being passed all around NEC now. I really feel bad for the guy, although he's far more famous now than he ever would have been before.

The way his hands were shaking, I almost want to say “Why wasn't he being more careful?” I dunno if it was being on live TV or not but you can tell he's very excited/nervous. And it shatters in his hands, not when it hits the ground, so I feel like he's only got himself to blame. Poor guy. I hope it wasn't the First Vinyl Cylinder Recording on loan from the Smithsonian or anything. Does anyone have more info about the object?

You can't be “That One Guy”, I'm That One Guy and I have been for years! :) I'm also an ex-Iowan Bay Area transplant… It beats shovelin' snow.

Yeah because the jerks over at my webhosting site suspended my website for “using too much CPU power” and now won't give me my money back.
