1) Not being a mindless moron.
2) Interest-free overdrafts.
3) Telephones (I didn’t really want a tech related one, but never being more than a phone call away from a loved one/the emergency services wherever you are in the world is sweet).
4) Not being pressured by my family into pursuing a certain occupation/lifestyle.
5) Alcohol… I’m not sure how I would survive without being able to just get wankered every now and then.

1. The Internet (otherwise PC’s are fairly boring)
2. Wireless connections (cause wires are poo)
3. USB sticks and general portable media (cause there sooo handy and i hate having piles of CD-R’s etc around)
4. Decent Mice (I hates my old ball mouse)
5. Laptops (DVD’s in bed, streaming chris on the couch or msn on the crapper)

Thanks for your thanks, Chris. I’m grateful to Ubuntu for finally giving me a Linux on which I can run Cinelerra. I’m grateful to you for not quite talking me out of Vista, which I actually don’t hate much now that I’m using it.

And I’m grateful to my family and my friends for being excellent folks all around.
