Don't get a plasma. When I asked a buddy of mine who worked for Circuit City about which he recommended he said "none" and told me the horror stories. First off they only last ~5 years tops before the gass leaks out, thats just too much money for 5 years use and thhe return rate on them at CC was high because some didn't make it to 3, usually due to cracks made during shipping/installation. Secondly there has been several incedents where the tv has left on too long at a time and the internal container busts spewing out the xenon gas and cinging the area around the tv. Sony and Samsung have both stopped producing them in favor of DLP.

I bought my Samsung 61" DLP in August and I rocks. I researched the different options for about two months and finally settled on the DLP. I have been extremely happy with it. Everyone one that come over and sees the TV wants to go out and buy one. So if your trying to decide on buying one or not, I would recommend it, it is hard to believe that a TV picture can look that good. - Don

Boy he sure candy coated DLP technology, enough so I'm ready to go out and buy one, or at least go out and look at one, sounds pretty cool. But I myself wouldn't know what to get either, not like I can afford to know anyway so I'm good =)
