I'm a north-coaster & have to be in a western city for a week later this month... I'm flying out on a Saturday & back on the following Sunday. Two days for fun (on my own dime), but no transportation expense to get there & back! I do this almost every business trip - so I got to go to Cape Canaveral, visit long-missed friends in 2 cities, see the Winchester House, LaBrea Tar Pits & Page Museum, Minneapolis Art Museum (surprisingly good!) and Science Museum, Mount Diablo & Joshua Tree Nat'l Park (it rained in the desert that day - such is my timing).
