If you means when Kaspersky is turned off then the answer is no: it’s not going to scan your computer. This means it’s not going to effectively keep you protected.

Do you run your anti-virus ion the background all the time, or do you only run a virus scan on regular intervals (or do you just not run anti-virus software at all?)
