You know I’m addicted to USB gadgets. The last time I looked at a microscope, I mentioned that my ProScope was broken. Someone saw that video, and they sent me a new one! So now, I’m busy playing with my new ProScope HR.

Magnification can be increased to a startling 200X power in a matter of seconds. The lens mount is an industry-standard C-Mount that will accept third-party lenses.

The coolest part is that I can take a still photo of anything I want with the touch of a button on the ProScope. I can also record video, or use the kit to mount the ProScope and take a time-lapse with the software. There are a variety of lenses you can pick up, which is excellent when you’re using this in an educational setting.

The LEDs are built into the lense itself, so you can always perfectly see. It’s never too light, or too dark. Once you start looking at things close up, you just can’t stop. You just keep wanting to see everything. This is definitely fun for kids and adults alike.

I reviewed the USB Microscope earlier in the day. I was checking out things like my own hair. Anyway, this gigantic house fly landed on Ponzi’s head a bit ago. So I decided I had to take a look at it under the microscope.

The quality of this microscope is just amazing. I have it on low magnification, and you can clearly see every tiny detail. It’s just unbelievable how good this thing really is. The clarity is so good, that just looking at this fly is grossing me out. I have the chills now! Want to see Mr. Fly?
