Many of you have begged me to review the new Twicker. I didn’t create this App, but I did inspire it. It’s only available for Mac OS X right now. Hopefully one of you out there can develop something similar for Windows. Twicker runs constantly on my second monitor, so I can keep up with everything related to Twitter. Twicker was developed by Dragossh.

Twicker is a Twitter Search client that fetches avatars and their tweets based on the specified keywords. Twitter is great. We use it everyday to keep in touch with our friends, family and with those who like the same things that we do. But how do you keep finding new people to friend?

Twicker helps you make new friends by searching for the specified keywords and displaying avatars related to them. It’s never been funner to find people like you!

If you send a tweet to @chrispirillo, your avatar will show up right within Twicker! From within the App, I could block the person or reply directly to them. I can also send them a direct message. I can open up that particular tweet, or find out more information about the user.

Refreshing the App will show more tweets, and pull in everything that has gone on since your last refresh. You can discover so much using this App. I can set Twicker to login upon computer start. I can change the refresh rate, and how many avatars I see at a time. I can set a blacklist if I choose. I can decide if I prefer horizontal or vertical showing. And heck… I can even choose to have rounded or squared edges!

I’d love to see something like Twicker for Windows and Linux, and not just OS X. If you have something in the works, or even a finished product ready for testing, let me know! I’d love to test it out.
