I’m still crawling out from underneath a pile of tasks, and it’s going to take me a lot longer than previously expected to get everything back on track. We’re overcoming our software woes one day at a time, and I’m also learning that intelligent Drupal developers are in absolute short supply – to the point where I don’t think the platform will be around for too much longer.

I’m not being silent because I want to be silent – I’m just trying to formulate my thoughts before saying anything about Gnomedex, and how I found it to be an amazing success (despite the various issues associated with this year’s production). Every year is different, and that’s what I love most about the conference. I have a lot to say about a lot of things – but I can’t say everything right now because I simply do not have the time.

It was an absolute joy to spend an extended weekend with my parents and assorted in-laws – as well as to meet up with old friends and make hundreds of new ones. Imperfectly perfect.
