I’ve warned you before that you have to watch what you say online. Even when you crack a joke, you should likely step back and make sure it comes across the way you intended it to, prior to actually hitting that “send” button. In the case of Paul Chambers, it could have saved him a lifetime of hassle. Sadly, he will no longer be flying the friendly skies, thanks to a complaint he made on Twitter.

When a recent flight of his was canceled, he decided to vent his frustration on Twitter with a bit of dark humor, stating: “Robin Hood airport is closed. You’ve got a week and a bit to get your shit together, otherwise I’m blowing the airport sky high!!” . Unfortunately for him, the police don’t find it a bit funny. A week after posting the message on the Twitter, he was arrested under the Terrorism Act. He was then questioned for nearly seven hours by police officers who took his joke as a security threat. He has been suspended for work pending investigation, and been banned from the local airport for life!

Can a Tweet Get You Grounded for Life?

I became a Coast to Coast Streamlink member this weekend – I just love following the lunatic fringe. Dr. Phil was on to talk about the planet Pluto last night, and when he referenced “Giant Ice Balls” – I sent him an instant message, claiming that I had “giant ice balls.” To which he immediately responded, “mine are brass.” Talk about paranormal!

Anyway, I generally enjoy listening to C2C – especially when JC comes on (great comic relief). Tonight’s guest is Glenn Kimball – and he’s going to be discussing the history of terrorism. I’m sure skeptics will be debunking Glenn left-and-right, but that doesn’t make his research any less interesting. History does not come from books, you know? Sometimes the only way to truly understand history is by challenging its “truths.” The Earth used to be flat.

While we’re on the subject of UFOs (even though I hadn’t had a chance to work them into the conversation until now), I’m convinced that the C2C Web crew are aliens. When I asked ‘em for the direct podcast URL, they said: “The recent release of iTunes is non-compatible with our Podcasting system.” No, their “system” is incompatible with the rest of the galaxy – get it straight. No matter, I can always download the archives on-demand.

Loose Change Second Edition was 100x better than Fahrenheit 9/11. You can watch it now online. And yes, I’m asking you to watch it now. Their film made much more sense to me than what I’ve been spoonfed by “the media” on information surrounding September 11th. Not to quote my favorite skeptic out of context, but even the original Dr. Phil is starting to get pissed off over what’s happening with our world these days (Is the government trying to kill us?). Make up your own mind, my friends – don’t let someone else make it up for you.
