The Ultimate Conference T-Shirt is a post from Chris Pirillo

If I’m not wearing a t-shirt, I’m usually wishing I was wearing a t-shirt. I love t-shirts. For my annual tech conference headed into its ninth year (Gnomedex), we’re producing a very special t-shirt in conjunction with J!NX! This is going to be a special edition t-shirt which all conference attendees will receive – but even if you’re not coming to Gnomedex, you’ll be able to order the t-shirt online. Soon thereafter, I’ll be working on a special LIMITED EDITION SIGNATURE SERIES of t-shirts with J!NX – yes, with my signature. :) Stay tuned!

I do love T-Shirts. I wear one pretty much every day. I got a new set of them recently, and have worn a few of them in previous videos. You might want to pay attention, because I’m about to tell you where you can get them! They are done by J!nx.

What is J!nx, you ask? It’s a clothing company for Gamers and Geeks! Where else should you get all your gear, if not from a store that caters specifically to you?

The shirts are very soft. I’m all about comfort – and style! – and J!nx certainly fits the bill with both. I really like the look of these. I love the colors, as well. They’re truly vibrant – and very different than what you can get in any store.

For comfort and style – at an excellent price – that Geeks will love, how can you NOT order a few for yourself?

Best Conference T-Shirt Ever is a post from Chris Pirillo

Okay, you know how most conference t-shirts suck? They’re splashed with sponsor logos and no fun to wear on Casual Fridays. Who really cares that you were at “Fast Food Fest ‘99″?! I have a million and one of those types of t-shirts in my closet, and they all get thrown into the “donate to Goodwill” pile at the end of the year. Sorry, but I’m not interested in being a walking NASCAR chassis. Last year, we got a little geeky with the “Feed Me” shirt. This year, we’re totally stylin’ with a shirt that says it all without saying anything:

Cast a casual glance, and you’ll see nothing more than a hot paisley design on a black t-shirt. Look closer, and you’ll actually find a few alphanumeric characters spelling out the word G-N-O-M-E-D-E-X-6. There’s even a couple of unobtrusive Lockergnome logos thrown in there for good measure. That’s it – total black on the back. If you don’t think these are the best conference t-shirts ever, I’d like to see one less annoying (as in, completely devoid of sponsor logos). Our sponsors understand why we do this – and they all love us for it. My guess is that many Gnomedexers will wear the t-shirt well after the event. Oh, and we’ll have some extras for sale (including fitted t-shirts made for the female figure).

VMware and Parallels for Virtual Machines

It doesn't matter if you're running on Windows or Mac OS X - every power user needs either Parallels or VMware (or both). There's never been an easier way to test software without destroying your primary operating system's stability. Think of how many times you wish you could press a 'reverse' button on your computer. Plus, there's no easier way to try new Linux distributions - see what all the fuss is about. Run Windows in OS X, run Linux in Windows, but the best way to do either is with VMware and/or Parallels.
