href="http://chris.pirillo.com/how-to-record-phone-calls/">How to Record Phone Calls is a post from Chris Pirillo

[Synopsis by "Fatman"] Chris starts the conference with technical issues with his audio mic. After discussion about solutions in regards to the best way of handling the problem they decided that he may need to get a mixing board to help with the audio issues. Eric Lagerway and Dan Gibbons are the creators of Gaboogie. They join the Chris Pirillo Live broadcast and start a Gaboogie conference call with Chris to speak about the future of their creation.

The MP3 of this live phone call is also available through Chris’s Gaboogie feed.

It is day 3 of the launch of Gaboogie It is a little different than the other conference call services out there. Gaboogie combines the latest IP communications technology and a lightweight AJAX- web interface for booking, scheduling and managing your call. You can start every conference on time, because Gaboogie calls everyone automatically, there’s no waiting for late attendees to show up.You can schedule your call when you sign on and even do it on demand instead of waiting if the need is there.

Chris’s vision is a 24/7 tech channel with an audio and video. The on demand video/audio will always be on 24-7 so the participants can ask questions and receive answers at any time. The great thing about Gaboogie will be that the community can join in and take pride in the work being done because that is something that everyone is involved in. It can be a spontaneous event all the time or it can be something that can be planned. If they need an answer to a question then it can be the job of the person who can’t answer the question to use Gaboogie to bring someone else in like Leo Laporte or Patrick Norton or others who can.

The idea is that if Gaboogie can do it all, phone conference services, video, audio management and recording, then that will be a service that no one else has and will have limitless potential for it’s users. It is greatly exciting because instead of the normal podcast that does not leave room for the general public to be able to interact with it, the Gaboogie site will be live at all times. It will leave room for people to join and respond and have a way to get answers they seek with live individuals instead of having to wait.

Other programs such as Leo Laporte’s and Patrick Norton’s, etc. aren’t set up to let the community have a one on one like Gaboogie will which is exciting and new. It is more interesting than any other media has been in a long time because as you roll forward you are enabling communities. The problem with traditional conference calls is there is no real social interaction such as you would have with a live video and audio.

Chris says is not just writing about the interesting topics ,it is about finding the interesting ones. He talked about recording the dig event. He had a live conference call when it was happening and Wired listened to the recording and wrote about it being history in the making. Chris also feels that with having a live voice, you relate to it more because you pay more attention to it. It makes it real because you have the feeling that you are able to enter the live internet social network. There is a demand for it now and is the solution to the puzzle people have been seeking for a long time.

Other Media formats: <a
