If you’re like me, you may receive a LOT of junk mail. Catalogs, mailers, credit card offers… they fill up my mail box. Thankfully, I’ve found a couple of free websites to help us out!

First, stop in to Catalogchoice.org. You can sign up for free, and quickly opt out of all your unwanted catalogs. Catalog Choice is a free service that allows you to decide what gets in your mailbox. Use it to reduce your mailbox clutter, while helping save natural resources. Catalog Choice is designed for your continued use. Upon receipt of additional unwanted catalogs, return to the site to decline them. As a registered user, you’ll also discover additional features related to declining catalogs at multiple addresses, adding new catalogs to our database, recording personal notes, and “going paperless”.

Next, check out Proquo.com. Your personal information is being collected, bought, and sold by thousands of businesses every day. Without your consent. ProQuo helps you to remove your name and personal information from thousands of marketing lists, data brokers and other organizations that send you unsolicited mail. After creating your ProQuo account, you will have your own electronic “dashboard.” Here you can request removal of your personal information from thousands of lists and organizations that have your information on file. Depending on the lists you choose, they will either electronically transmit your requests on your behalf or guide you through the removal process.
