href="http://chris.pirillo.com">Chris Pirillo

I just received breaking news from CNN about something that just happened at CNN:

A man shot a woman today at CNN Center complex. A witness who is a CNN employee saw a male shoot a black female twice at the Omni hotel, which is part of CNN Center.

And yesterday, right here in Seattle – UW staffer killed by stalker:

The woman shot dead on the campus of the University of Washington this morning had a protection order against the man who shot her and then himself in what police are saying was an apparent murder-suicide.

Oh, but here’s another bloody tale:

An Ocala man is in the Marion County jail, accused of shooting his mother in the head. Officers found 51-year-old Carolyn Cheuvront’s body Monday afternoon inside her home on 17th Avenue in Ocala. Investigators have not released a motive for the murder.

And the kids are getting in on the act, too:

An 18-year-old man has been charged with murder over the shooting death of another teenager near Bunbury, in Western Australia’s south. Lawrence William Dix, 19, from Bunbury was shot dead at his family’s home at Dalyellup, a suburb of Bunbury, at about 6.30pm (WST) on Sunday.

Don’t break my heart. My achy-breaky heart:

Police have issued arrest warrants for country singer Billy Joe Shaver after he shot and wounded a man outside a Texas bar, the entertainer’s attorney said. After Shaver left a bar in Lorena on Saturday night, a drunk, aggressive stranger with a knife followed him into the parking lot, said attorney Joseph A. Turner of Austin. Shaver shot him in self-defense, he said.

Let’s turn to the Sports section:

A man accused of shooting Aliquippa High School basketball star Herb Pope after a party surrendered to police early Tuesday. Marcus Longmire, 19, of Pittsburgh, surrendered at the Beaver County Jail on charges of attempted homicide, aggravated assault, simple assault and a firearms violation in the shooting early Saturday.

Statistically speaking, if I walk downstairs and tell Ponzi that I’m not going to finish the laundry, there’s a 1 in 1,000 chance she’s going to shoot me. Of course, I’m more likely to get shot in the arm than the face (leaving me with one good arm to reload the dryer). The problem is: it’s just not as easy as it could (or should) be to acquire weapons of mass delusion.<ul

There's never been an easier way to test software without destroying your primary operating system's stability. Think of how many times you wish you could press a 'reverse' button on your computer. Plus, there's no easier way to try new Linux distributions - see what all the fuss is about. Run Windows in OS X, run Linux in Windows, but the best way to do either is with VMware and/or Parallels.

Coupons for Online Shopping

This feed is fueled by Lockergnome Online Shopping and Coupon Codes
