Google has unveiled a new YouTube feature that allows users to create their own video stories out of Google searches, a la the “Parisian Love Story” commercial that aired during the Super Bowl. Dubbed “Search Stories,” the new feature has the potential for spreading virally, if some clever folks take the time to create search-y vignettes.

Google has unveiled a new YouTube feature that lets users create their own video stories based off of Google searches. This is much like the “Parisian Love Story” commercial that aired during the Super Bowl. Search Stories have the potential to “go viral”, providing someone clever takes the time to create these little clips.

All you have to do is enter some search terms, pick the music and let YouTube do the rest. The problem so far is that many of the user-made vignettes are boring. Where is the innovation and creativity? Where are the laughs that these gems could surely bring?

Put your thinking caps on and power up your Google-Fu. Can you make the world laugh? Let’s see what you come up with.

Thanks to Wazuc for coming up with the Chris Pirillo Search Story.

http://live.pirillo.com/ – No, it’s not a shortened version of a curse word. Google-Fu is actually a coined phrase describing a persons’ ability to use the Internet to find answers.

Google-Fu is actually defined as “the ability to quickly answer any given question using internet resources, such as a search engine”. It’s a Zen concept, if you will. The better and faster you become at finding the right answers quickly online, the higher your “Google-Fu rating”.

See? No bad words here! Of course, I had to end the call when the user went on to ask me about Vista errors. I just couldn’t take it anymore! The screaming just came out of nowhere, honest!
