I&#8217;m linking to his story since the original NYT post requires registration, which is absolutely l4m3.</p><blockquote><p>According to the New York Times report, Google has complained that computers slow significantly when running both Windows Vista&#8217;s built-in desktop search program and Google Desktop Search. The behind-the-scenes indexing needed for desktop search programs can drag on computing resources.</p><p>There is no simple way for PC users to turn off Windows Vista&#8217;s built-in desktop search program. Google has asked the court overseeing Microsoft&#8217;s antitrust compliance to require the company to let users turn off the built-in search program, the New York Times reported.</p></blockquote><p>If anything, Google should be thrilled that Windows Vista&#8217;s desktop search program is one of the worst out there (sorry, Brandon). I&#8217;ve never had near the level of satisfaction with Vista&#8217;s search experience &#8211; especailly compared to <a

Sadly, Copernic Desktop Search does not run very well on Windows Vista in conjunction with Outlook 2007. I finally got around to uninstalling it a few minutes ago, and was promptly redirected to a <a
