People can still use these pocket rockets for fun on private land, so these tips may still be useful.&#8221;</p><ul><li>Italian or Japanese? This all boils down to how wealthy you are, and how long you wish to wait for spare parts! Italian firms such as Aprilia, Cagiva produce some remarkable looking bikes for beginners ie: (APRILIA RS125/CAGIVA MITO EVOLUTION125). The prices all in all are sure to cause some major &#8220;bank emptyage&#8221;. You WILL at some point be needing spare parts ie: pistons, rings, and cylinders. These guys will keep you on the wait list for months on end. On a positive note, they are fantastic to ride with the best (small capacity performance). As for the Japanese bikes, they are pretty self-explanatory. You are sure to save money, time and also gain more durability from your chosen machine! Recommended models include (TZR125 from Yamaha, NSR125 from Honda.</li><li>With 2-strokes, always use the best (fully synthetic 2-stroke oil) your little soul can afford!. This is considered a must as it will prolong the life of your engine!</li><li>Always allow your 2-stroke to warm up in neutral for at least 15mins as this lets the major components of the engine reach optimum running temp. I cant stress how important it is&#8230; as I&#8217;ve seen so many people ask me why their pride and joy has blown up!</li><li>Many young people admire the idea of purchasing a 2-stroke and deciding to upgrade the engine with bore increasement kits, race pipes ect. My advice is: unless you are experienced with these engines&#8230; don&#8217;t even think about it. Just like PCs, if you want more power and speed it&#8217;s going to run much hotter! With a bike, it can lead to disaster if not done correctly!</li><li>Be sure to have your bike serviced at least once a year, as this helps the overall value of your bike for when your ready to sell and move on. A good collection of service receipts proves your bike worthy to be a 2nd hand sale!</li></ul><p><ul><li
