I HATE CABLES! I hate the mess they make. I hate seeing them coiling all around the gadgets on my desk. I can’t stand it when they get all tangled together into one huge knot. I picked myself up a new organizer recently for only ten bucks. This little thing is awesome! It keeps everything neat and tidy. The Dotz Cable Wrap even prevents the tangling and knots that can often happen, and accommodates up to three cables at a time.

This little circle gives you a simple way to instantly protect, shorten and store your cords, cables and ear buds. Just wrap the excess lengths of cord inside and snap it shut. It comes with a suction cup to keep it in place and a belt clip to make sure you don’t drop it when walking or jogging. It comes in several different colors so you can be sure to match whatever your style is.

I found a way to get out from under the tangle of cords and cables. What methods do you use? Please – PLEASE – tell me you don’t just leave them lying all around the place.

I hate having super-long USB cables when all I really need is one that’s an inch or two long. It’s such a waste of space, especially when I’m traveling. Thank goodness the folks at ThinkGeek have the iStubz to charge my iPhone with!

The iStubz is only 3 inches long, and I promise that those three inches will satisfy you! It works with any USB-compatible iPod or iPhone, and is compatible with Windows, Mac and Linux. You don’t need cables strung all over Hell and half of Georgia. Using a nice short cable keeps things de-cluttered and organized.

If you’re interested in grabbing the iStubz for yourself – or anything from ThinkGeek for that matter – make sure you take advantage of the ThinkGeek coupons that I have for you. Why pay full price for anything?!

There will come a time when the device that you come to rely on is going to run out of energy. What do you do when that happens? You have recharge it. And to recharge it, you have to plug it in. But what do you do with all of those cables, and the mess that they create? I hate clutter. I’m a neat freak. I can’t help it.

The driinn phone holder helps with that. It solves the problem of our phone lying around somewhere and having the cord lying around.

Driinn™ is a handy, easy to use product for anyone with a mobile phone, an Mp3 player or a PDA device. Driinn™ is made of a special mix of plastic and rubber. This combination gives the holder strength and grip. Driinn™ hangs between your battery charger and the wall socket. It provides a support for your mobile phone and convenient storage for your charging cord.

This little piece of plastic heaven will make your life much easier… and neater!

Jared sent in his Top Five Tips for Cord Management list. I don’t know about you, but I’m a bit of a neat freak. I have to have my office and desk area nice and orderly, or it drives me up a wall. My desk is actually about a foot or so away from the wall. My desktop pc is behind the desk, as are all the cords. It may be a mess, but it’s somewhere I don’t have to see it.

When possible, go wireless. Ponzi is ALL about wireless. This is an excellent tip. The fewer devices that have wires, the less the mess will be.

Group your cords, tie similar ones together, and label them. I bought a small label machine just for this purpose.

Run cords along the walls or under carpets I have a speaker that is across the room from my desk, and I ran the cord for it along the wall, pushed beneath the carpet and the trim. It’s out of the way, not a trip hazard, and unseen.

Use a cable turtle or buy retractable cords. I LOVE retractable cords. They take up less room, and leave less mess!

Don’t overload your outlets, or it can cause a fire. VERY good point. I have a separate circuit just for my desktop pc. That baby pushes a LOT of power.
