Thus as Sharp is ramping up mass production of that “parallax barrier” 3.8″ WVGA 3D screen, they are able to put it in Smart phones as well, which is how they are now shipping in Japan the Sharp 003SH and 005SH (with slide-out keyboard). Sharp is also entering the Tablet market with their new Tablet optimized screens at 5.5″ and 10.8″ super sharp high resolution LCD screens in the Galapagos Tablets now released in the Japanese market.

MyGofer is a free personal shopping service that runs your errands for you. You pickup the items on your shopping list from a nearby Kmart, but the items on your list don’t have to be from Kmart. The service is owned and operated by Sears Holdings, so if an item is available from either Sears or Kmart stores, that’s where the item will be purchased. As the interviewee here points out, the shoppers will be happy to do shopping for you at other stores too.

There are no signup or hidden fees. Right now, the service is available in select major cities. There are some cool little features, such as not needing a membership card at stores. The company has those – and uses them – for you.

Doctor Andrew Brandeis, of the Care Practice clinic in San Francisco, is a Naturopathic Doctor and part of the team that created the iHealth blood pressure monitoring for iPad and iPhone.

At Pepcom’s Digital Experience at CES 2011, Lockergnome’s Kelly Clay spoke with Dr. Brandeis about how devices like the iHealth can change the way we look at healthcare, both through positive reinforcement of our own behavior and using social proof to influence our personal support networks to encourage us to improve our heath. iHealth, the Withings Scale, and FitBit, are all early efforts to provide better health care monitoring to individuals.

Thanks to the Showstoppers product showcase, Boogie Board was among the best things we saw at CES 2011. It’s a simple premise – a writing tablet, similar to a grease board, made from an pressure sensitive LCD screen. You can write on the tablet to take notes, write a grocery list, or doodle. Boogie Board uses no power until you erase it.

LCD writing tablets are currently available at Brookstone stores in the mall near you.

You are about to witness a historic moment in the history of consumer electronics. Motorola unveils not only the most powerful smartphone yet based on Nvidia’s Tegra2 ARM Cortex-A9 processor, but has actually worked feverishly on making software layers on top of Android to provide for a Desktop/Laptop replacement experience, all powered by the phone!

Motorola presents full HD resolution Firefox web browser running on top of Android, Citrix virtualization integration for running all other x86 apps that can be virtualized, they put Android in a Window so you can still run any Android apps in that Window when in Desktop mode!

And this is the first generation of this type of product, so you are only witnessing the beginning of ARM Powered Pocketable Smart Mobile Devices to be able to power everything you would do on a Laptop powered by Intel/Microsoft. Expect even faster dual-core processors to run this type of product soon with unlimited amounts of tabs with lots of pictures/embedded videos and do it all fully smoothly.

This video was filmed by Charbax of ARMdevices at CES 2011.

Canopy shows off two iPhone 4 cases at CES. The first one, Jumba, adds tripod threading, making it easy to tripod mount your iPhone 4 at virtually any angle.

The second iPhone 4 case, Kapok, converts your iPhone to a point-and-shoot camera. By combining an iPhone app with the Kapok case, you get two embedded buttons with better digital camera control for the iPhone 4 camera.

Canopy offers an open SDK, so the buttons are available for use by other apps too.
