You work for First Class? And you ADMIT it???? Hey dude, thanks for helping to perpetuate the single worst piece of software ever written… yes, *software*, not just mail client. First Class STINKS and makes my life an utter misery.

Remember, you have to be patient and train your little spam filter what is good in the world and what is bad in the world. The more spam you get, the faster it learns. Also, it is very important to tell it that something is NOT SPAM, as that is half of the equation. If you just get it and it is not marked spam, it is by default neutral (why??).

I've been using Mozilla 1.2 since it came out of beta. Excellent mail support. I had to laugh – I got a virus last week; a VB virus! The only MS product I use is Windows 2000 – no Office, no IE. Since I don't use them, I didn't get infected.
BTW, Richard J. Smith, it will NOT sync with your Pocket PC because it is looking for MS stuff. If you were to get a Palm OS hand-held it would sync fine.

I have been using mozilla mail for about 4+ months now and even before the built in junk mail filters I found the message filtering to be smooth and effortless.
I hope you will be showcasing mozilla mail on upcoming CFH episodes.

Security in Mozilla is as good as or better than IE. It has full support for 128-bit encryption, and the issues with SSL in 1.0 have been fixed for a long time. I use it for my online banking.

You should try the new Opera mail client, it works quite well now and has a slick interface. (A lot faster than Mozilla too)

Andrew,
I heard of first class, it does email , and it has kinda of a bbs type feel. I know alot of schools use it . But has first class changed. Last time which was not too log again it required that you connected to a first class server.
Yeah there is alot of neat features to first class but it is not for the every day user.

Anyone heard of FirstClass? It's a relatively unknown mail server/client combo but it's cross platform and it has built-in and user configurable anti-spam features…hey if you want to use Outlook or Mozilla, it provides POP,IMAP, and auth SMTP ability. Okay, okay, I work for FirstClass but I'd still love it even if I wasn't.
