Here in hot, muggy and smoggy California we have 300$ a month electric bills, gang thugs and the worst part of the housing crisis next to central valley of course. I love summer and all it's warm sun and fun. Even the geekiest of us can enjoy the outdoors given modern technology. As Chris points out, take your laptop to a park or something. I have actually set out to be geeky and outside and made an adventure of it. I decided to find the weirdest/coolest/chillest etc place that I could sit and get WiFi access. This not only gives you a mission which you must undertake outdoors which takes up plenty of time outside but it also teaches you of places where wireless is readily available for the future. So fire up netstumbler, kismet, or your AP finder of choice and go get some sun already. I agree! I love summer and all it’s warm sun and fun.
