Summer is Finally Upon Us

« Previous | Next »

Even though it’s a well-known fact that I am so white I glow more than my monitors do – I still love summer. I just hate being cold, and never seeing the sun. Of course, living in Seattle there’s never much sun. However, I digress!

Even if you aren’t into the whole camping/fishing/hiking thing, there’s still a lot you can do outside right now. Heck, just take your notebook and go sit in the park. Enjoy the weather, the sun, and the people-watching! Whatever you choose to do, take the time to enjoy each day. Don’t be like me and coop yourself up inside for too long! You’ll go insane… and you’ll start to glow.

What are you up to these days? Are you writing about the things going on in your life like others in our community?

You haven’t remembered us about playing video games. This what i gonna do in summer. But first of all need to pass exams perfectly. So i’ll glow just as you ^ ^

I agree! I love summer and all it’s warm sun and fun. Even the geekiest of us can enjoy the outdoors given modern technology. As Chris points out, take your laptop to a park or something. I have actually set out to be geeky and outside and made an adventure of it. I decided to find the weirdest/coolest/chillest etc place that I could sit and get WiFi access. This not only gives you a mission which you must undertake outdoors which takes up plenty of time outside but it also teaches you of places where wireless is readily available for the future. So fire up netstumbler, kismet, or your AP finder of choice and go get some sun already.

Yes, we’re writing! One of your gnomies (since 1996) has written a new book about how the world really works and waking up to your true power. Our days of being in the dark are over, it’s time to speak our truth with courage. “The Mushroom Memos, A Call to Awaken” is a practical guide to a freedom of the Mind.

“Ignorance is the beast, awareness is the slayer.”

Thank you

I usually get outside and play a few games on my DS. Portables really come into their own when there’s a good reason to be outside :)

Be thankful you live in Washington where there is less pollution, more moisture and green. Here in hot, muggy and smoggy California we have 300$ a month electric bills, gang thugs and the worst part of the housing crisis next to central valley of course. Not worth being here and there is no work. I am planning on moving up there myself.

What Do You Think?
