Subservient Chris Surfaces for Twestival
Later today, I will reprise my role as Subservient Chris in order to help raise money in conjunction with Twitter via Twestival.
On 12 February 2009 175+ cities around the world will be hosting Twestivals which bring together Twitter communities for an evening of fun and to raise money and awareness for charity: water.
Beginning at approximately 6:00PM EST (3pm PST) today, February 12th, I will begin taking donations and requests. Donations can be sent directly to my PayPal account, and I will make one large donation directly to the charity on behalf of our community.
For a minimum $10.00 donation to the network, people could make silly demands of me. During past events, I’ve had to sing, dance, put my dog on my head, and even ended the night in a dress! Any request is granted once a donation is made, as long as it’s nothing illegal or degrading. Remember, I have final veto power on any and all requests!
Join me later today for a great time, a lot of laughter, and to help raise money for a very good cause. Here’s what you have to do:
- Make the donation ($10 or higher).
- Submit your request INSIDE the donation form.
Remember, I have the right to refuse a request if it’s unreasonable. ;)

I wish I could make it for 6pm but I won’t be home. Will this still be going on around 8pm EST. That’s when I’ll be in front of a computer!

How does one get their request to you after said donation is made to paypal? Would one post it in the paypal notes or email you, or… or .. or….??

Pardon my stupidity. Is this water for Africa? If it is I’m all in. I helped drill wells as a summer mission project in ‘93 over there. If this is it I’ll brake the piggy and send you all that falls out!! Go Geeky friend Go.

Stupid jim just checked this out and it is water for Africa, some on people this is one of the most worthy causes you can back. So many lives can be affected and saved by this cause, I know I was there. Take the word of this old worn out preacher here is where to put your money. It will do more good than any stocks, bonds, or CD/s it will save lives and lift people from poverty. It will save a generation of boys and girls from illness and hunger.

Man that was great Chris, you got to your goal in around 2hrs. I was hoping someone would request Moxy Fruvous tho but all in all it was great fun keep up the good work.
