Stuck with a PIN
“Ah, yes. I had had the same brain system failure that Chris described – staring at the ATM and just not remembering that PIN! So now I write the PIN number on the back of each card, in the signature box. WAIT! No, I don't write the actual PIN. I use one 'formula' for all cards. For example, a formula could be to add 3333 to the actual numbers of your PIN. The new TOTAL is then written on the card. If this was your formula, you only have to subtract 3333 from the PIN written on the back of any card, and you will have the actual PIN for that card. Now, does anybody remember where I left my wallet?” (A. John Gallant)

I understand why Chris would get other people to write his newsletter, but getting other people to do his own blog for him is ridiculous.

I remember my pin buy having it as a fake phone number in my cell phone. Nobody but me would ever know what number it is, unless they tried to call it

That phone number idea sounds cool, creative and dangerous, but… I remember mine cause its very close to me. If I say anything else, I might give it away.

What if you forget the formula?

Yeah, what Namco said. A 4-digit formula is just as hard to remember as a 4-digit pin. I guess maybe if they're all the same, its not so bad. But now you have 3 numbers in the mix. The actual PIN, your 4-digit “formula,” and the mysterious 4-digit code on your signature box. I dunno man. Just memorize your freakin' PIN. And, Chris, write to your own blog. This is chris.pirillo.com, right?
