Streets and Trips 2006 Construction Update

There's a Streets and Trips 2006 Construction Update that's been released… which is really weird, because there isn't even a Streets and Trips 2006 on the market!!! I flew to the Streets and Trips page, and found that 2005 is still being listed. Here I was, all excited for a new release, only to be disappointed. Well, you gotta hand it to Microsoft: they're being proactive in issuing updates before they actually release the program. ;)

What a truly great program Streets and trips is. I used Mappoint back in 2000 to go on a long 16 day road trip and fell in love with this type of mapping software.
It is no wonder that after surfing around with Streets and Trips that I have now lost so many hours to Google Earth and the sattelite pics that it contains.
Hopefully they build in more of the new Calgary neighborhoods into the 2006 version.

You still use that software? I have MapPoint loaded on my computer at work, but I haven't opened it in months… (ever since gmaps/google earth came out!). The only benefit of that software is the ease of trip-chaining… Is there any other reason to use it?

Chris, this makes perfect sense. This is the 2006 construction update for microsoft streets and trips, not a streets and trips 2006 program update.

I am no expert on the sugject, but Streets and Trips 2006 came with Microsoft Works Suite that I recently bought.
