Story Of My Life
Chris, Just a short personal note. After doing some computer software training in Newton, Iowa this morning, I
went downtown Newton to the Midtown Cafe for lunch.
After I ordered and had been served, a man came in and sat down at the
table beside me. He placed a stack of promo handouts on his table and
started handing the promos out to people at another table. Finally, he
asked me if I was from Newton. I said, “No, but I am curious. Are you
related to Chris?” (you see, his name was Joe Pirillo and he was from
Altoona, Iowa). He said, “Yes, I am. I am his father.”
Joe told me that “Life is interesting. When Chris was a boy, he was
referred to as 'Joe Pirillo's boy'. Now, Joe Pirillo is referred to as
'Chris Pirillo's dad' ” Too bad your official residence is in CA. Your dad could have had another
vote come election day (June 4).
I told your dad that I subscribed to several of your newsletters and asked
him about his (Joe's) new computer. He said that he was still having
trouble with it. I said, “Isn't that the way it always is? The shoe
repairman always has holes in his shoes.” (translated: the computer geek's
dad always has problems with his computer) Your dad said for me to tell you “Hello” for him. “Hello from your dad, Chris.”
