I offered him the opportunity to speak at Gnomedex in August (since his speech elicited a standing ovation at 2001's conference). His reply: “You know you can count on me… and by then I'm sure I'll have all sorts of cool new stuff to talk about!” When responding specifically on our Keynote choice, he wrote: “FANTASTIC! Leo will be wonderful to have there! Yipeeee!” You heard it here first, folks. This is going to be the geek gathering to end all gatherings.

I think it would be great to get Dvorak there and do a live roundtable with Gibson and Rosenberg, maybe throw Leo in the mix too. It would be great.

That's it. I think I should just set up a PayPal Donations button on my site and take up a collection. If Wil Wheaton can ask the blog world to buy his wife dinner, then I can ask for money to go to Gnomedex!
