Why people take on MIcrosoft at a personal level? There products are expensive but it is difficult to imagine the present penetration of IT at work and at home without the direction provided by the Redmond entity. If I am not happy with a product, I am not supposed to have it . It is better than repenting and egging someone later. After all why do we make a mistake of considering Microsoft as a charitable organisation. As Milton Friedman put it many years ago, ‘the business of business is business’.

What I like about the video of this is that Ballmer maintained calmness and even joked about it in the end. I do have to hand it to people that protest and even speak their mind.

I and many other people found this HILARIOUS! But when your mad at someone for something even if what they did is SUPER BAD (like release an OS like Vista) you don’t do something as childish as throwing eggs at him! He probably deserved it but there are far better ways of dealing with these sorts of problems.

From reading through the some of the comments its apparent to me that a lot of people feel that Microsoft have become to powerful within Hungry for anyone else to have a fighting chance of any competition. I think this is where Linux, and the strong committed community could do some of their best work. Not necessarily making people change completely to Linux, but showing people that there is an alternative to Windows that some people would find even more beneficial. I do however have to ask, surely the mans clothing would have drawn some attention to him prior to the commencing of this event.
I also agree that no one should see this kind of treatment. No matters people’s resentment towards a company such as Microsoft, they’re [Microsoft] contribution to our lives will be felt forever as the pioneers of some the most widely used products in the world. And thats coming from a Mac user.

idont boter what others say or do
because bill is my role model, he works very hard and slo participates and donates huge amount of money in various social activities.

Steve Balmer is a silly man that really is critical of Apple and all other operating systems. However, that doesn’t mean that he deserves to be tarred and feathered lol. That also is some dirty business right there from Microsoft, even if it is legal.

lol ok I can’t help but say this is a PR stunt. As if Balmer needed more bad publicity right? i know but man it just looks so fake. I mean, what was your plan there? Did you really think you were going to show up, throw a couple eggs, and get money out of him?
