I think that Starbucks gives me unlimited choices so i'm never bored of my daily coffee...lets face it a cup of joe is just soooo boring! I love my starbucks...tim hortons never offers us healthier choices such as skim/soy milk, or sugar free for diabetics...or more flavourfull add ons like chocolate drizzle and delicious whipped cream or warm froth with caramel topping! I love it for the choices not the coffee!!

There was an article in the Wall Street Journal (yesterday I think) that talked about different ways the folks at Starbucks have engineered things to shave seconds off of getting people their coffees.
For instance for their iced drinks, someone noticed that their baristas had to reach into the ice machine twice to scoop ice. So the Starbucks engineers invented an ice scoop that would scoop up exactly the right amount on the first time. Except that the plastic handles would break off too often. So the engineers found a way make the scoop handles stronger. Voila! Speeding up achieved!
Anyway, the point is they seemed to have invested a lot of R&D into ice scoops, so I'm sure if they think they can save a few seconds of time by speeding up the way people order, they will.
