But I must say I have been thoroughly enjoying the Olympics this past week. Never mind the events that professionals can play in, pooh on that. But for these kids that have been practicing day after day for their whole lives to try get a shot at a medal once every four years. now that makes for some impressive viewing. There ain't no one paying them huge somes of cash...they are there for the competition (OK maybe that Phelps kid is making a little dough off those endorsements.). Most of the athletes are are blips on the radar, soon forgotten. This may be their only Olypmic shot at glory. Others will go on to be heroes in their countries, just as famous as the professional athletes here. But they are far more deserving in my view.
Anyhoo, the Olympics are worth watching IMHO.

Too much politically correct BS, and too many arrogant athletes. Even NASCAR is becoming PC. Oh well - what are ya goin' to do?

I don't watch football or baseball, anymore. Too much politically correct BS, and too many arrogant athletes. Whoopdeedoo! Big deal. I hate sports. Most of the people that play sports in my area are jocks anyways. And they pick on me too.

Besides all that football is, is just people kicking a little rubber/leather ball through two posts and hitting each other. Maybe it's from all the jocks picking on me in high school. It seems like all the meatheads are consumed by watching football, making weired noises and spilling beer all over themselves

I dislike sports as well… Maybe it's from all the jocks picking on me in high school.
