Snow Day!
It's snowing in Seattle, which doesn't happen all that often I guess. Growing up in Iowa, I experienced blizzard conditions frequently. If the snow isn't sticking to the surface, and I can still walk outside without having my face freeze off, then it's considered a light day. Not so in the Pacific Northwest, apparently. Too many people (read: drivers) moved here from California, so “nobody” knows how to control their car when they're on the icy roads. Ponzi whipped up a quick batch of cocoa, and we're both tackling our respecitve inboxes in my pajamas. No, seriously – she's wearing my pajama bottoms. What else can you do on a snow day? Flakes aren't accumulating, so we can't go outside and make snow angels. We can't have snowball fights. We can't build snow forts. Hey, I totally didn't know you're an Iowan! Yay for us. I miss the snow, living in California now. But you are correct, califonians have no idea how to drive. At my company we've even had people call in and say it's raining too hard, they can't get to work.
