Which is strange, because, well, I don't really... know you. Oh, but who's keeping track?

Ah, it sounds like all DOES end well. So, I did the next best thing on my Caribbean vacation, I took SCUBA lessons. You have to be able to swim underwater, obviously, and learn some facts about diving times, depths and how not to get the bends (surfacing too fast) but this was absolutely the best swimming related thing I've ever done. Let me tell you this is fantastic! Nothing beats the joy of being able to swim, untethered to the surface without having to hold your breath while at the same time observing wildly colored tropical gardens teaming with sea life, well, not including sex.If you ever get the chance to pick a license up (they are good for life), do so. If you ever get a chance to go to a coral reef and see the wildlife while floating calmly underwater or swimming around for 45 minutes or so, take it. You won't be sorry. No worries about swallowing that nasty salt water unexpectedly and you can get up close and personal with some incredible looking sea life. Really, if you thought your little snorkel was fun, SCUBA has it all over that.I did mine off Montserrat before it blew its top.

I enjoy swimming but I found snorkeling a true pain.
