Slow Children at Play

If you tuned into the live stream tonight, you may have noticed that… it wasn’t quite there. Here’s the deal: we were booked into a hotel without broadband, so that “forced” us to find a reliable connection elsewhere – the local Starbucks. “Why not do it from the show floor,” you ask? They kicked us out at 6PM. We wrapped up our last interview in a rush, but needed to upload the whole darn media file to our server before it could start streaming to your computer. 75% into the transfer, the connection died – and we have virtually no time to restart it before Starbucks closes.

Jake will be producing the five separate interviews tonight, in his non-wired hotel room, and then posting those files here throughout the day tomorrow. We’re still waiting for our new media file server to get set up (though we’re not quite sure what’s taking them so long to get it ready). We’ll take the bandwidth hit tomorrow to make sure you get Chris Pirillo Show content ASAP.

A PR agency would tell you a different story… that we were playing Marcel Marceau’s Greatest Hits Volume III. However, I thought it would be better to tell you the truth. We’re geeks, we’re using computers, and… this happens. Stay tuned – we’ll be back live, from my dining room, next week (taking your LIVE calls).
