Singing For Supper
I'm still tweaking this new layout. I'm working on setting up the “buttons” to actually function now. Perhaps a roll-up / hidden post script? It's difficult to concentrate when my wife is playing old country tunes on her computer. When she said she wanted to listen to tunes, I thought she was talking Stone Temple Pilots or Nirvana. This stuff is hypnotic. The singer just referenced a trundle bed, I think. I can't understand a word she's saying. “Blah blah love blah.” I bet this group wasn't even popular when they were still together. Unless, heaven forbid, they're still on tour.

Chris, Howdie! The tweaking looks good so far. Here's how to get Gretchen/Minie Pearl to stop playing country music: Say “Hey Minnneeeeee! Git me sum giblits darlin, us cowfolk need our vittles to keep up our strength for the rodeo tomorey.” Of course if you do this while wearing a straw hat and flapping your arms like a chicken, all the better. Have fun. You'll be hearing Nirvana in no time. It's the Lucy and Ricky approach to marriage negotiations, works every time! Thom

Remember to play those tunes backwards when she's finished so you can get your dog, wife, car, and house back. Ha! I tickle me.
Ok fine, it's an old joke. I digress…

Perhaps you could have multiple themes? Mac OSX, Windows 3.1, 95/98, XP.. Linux? FreeBSD? The possibilities are endless.. That'd be a sure way to get number one on the blog charts! :D Anyway, I suggest some ear plugs. You can get them at almost any general store. Use them for music, when the wife won't stop talking ( sorry Gretchen =] ) or even if there's a little someone in the family that snores. Perhaps Sprocket could use these? I guess all of what I'm saying goes for Gretchen too. =]

Just a note–that full screen background slows down page scrolling in the older PCs. Other than that, nice design–just make sure you keep the older version/non DHTML browsers in mind though. ;-)

For the record, it was the first CD of the best of the Mamas and the Papas. HARDLY country music. My husband prefers to overgeneralize for any type of music that I choose to listen to.
And I'd advise everyone to keep in mind that Chris doesn't cater to users of browsers other than the one he uses… at least not for the blog.

Hey – looks nice! Now, if only the date of posting showed up (without having to hover over the question mark…). It's tough to tell how old something is by time alone.
