Have you ever had a song on the tip of your tongue? But alas… you cannot remember the title, or even the artist? Well, now there’s a website that can help you figure it out.

Midomi.com is a site that can match lyrics to a song, tell you the title and artist, and even let you listen to the original music. Oh, and did I mention you can also buy the album if you want?

Creating an account is free, but not even required to search. Simply click the button at the top where it says “Click for Singing Search”. Sing the lyrics you remember… even just a couple of lines. The site will then search for the best matches. In the times that I tried it, the site was absolutely correct! How freakin’ cool is that? It knew what song I was singing! If you don’t remember the lyrics themselves, but have the melody in your brain, guess what? You can search by humming, too!

Don’t have a microphone? It’s ok, you can still search the site by inputting words the old fashioned way with your keyboard. You can contribute to the database by singing in midomi’s online recording studio in any language or genre. The next time anyone searches for that song, your performance might be the top result! At midomi you can create your own profile, sing your favorite songs and share them with your friends and get discovered by other midomi users. You can listen to and rate others’ musical performances, see their pictures, send them messages, buy original music, and more.

Do you know of any other truly cool music websites? I don’t just mean artist sites. I’m talking FUN, different, something we can all enjoy. Leave me a comment on this video, or shoot me an email to chris@pirillo.com
