I am an artist and I'm designing a personal web site which will show my
portfolio and interactive artwork. What I want to do is create a site in
which people cannot copy my artwork onto their own computers Mac/PC or any
kind my taking a screen shot, copy/paste or drag/drop onto their desktop.
I'm making it in Macromedia Flash MX which does not allow people to
copy/paste or drag/drop but how can I make it so that people cannot take a
screen shot and paste it into Photoshop or any art program?

Mr. Tome — the solution is simple: if you don't want people duplicating your work, don't put it up on a webpage. And, while you're at it, don't let anyone with a camera near a monitor displaying your work, as they might be able to make duplicates of your work, too. Actually, you might not want people to look at your work at all, as they could always go home and try to duplicate it from memory.
Hope that helps, Jeffrey.

Its TOTALLY IMPOSSIBLE!!! Even if you figure out some way to prevent a screen shot (which i doubt exists) im sure there is software that can take a screenshow anyway. also anyone with an lcd screen and a camera can copy it. also, anyone with special device that connects to the video card can take it.

Honestly, if you want that degree of control then the web is not the medium to choose. BTW don't believe that FlashMX will create secure sites.

Show your artwork in a size that most people wouldn't use.
Visitors could still see your work, but it wouldn't be in a size that they could 'use' it.

And giving that you will have to hold the loupe still for about 1.5 seconds, you can bet your bottom dollar you won’t ever enter select mode by accident. I’m sure it’ll happen eventually… and maybe video recording, to boot. Related Content:Sincerely Jeffrey TomeIs the iPhone a Good PDA?
