Signs That I’m a Geek

  • Two minutes ago, I put away a USB cable – thinking I didn’t need it there anymore. However, as it turned out, I still required it for charging a device. Without thinking, I was mentally searching for an Undo button.
  • Earlier this evening, Sean and I were discussing a plugin for better del.icio.us blog integration. In an instant message, he keyed in “re:del.icio.us” and I read it as “re.dic.ulo.us.”
  • I had a dream last night that Ponzi got me a handful of USB grommets for my new home office.

That’s so freaky. Exactly the same thing happened to me last week. I put away a power cable and about 5 mins later the wife asked for it so I was trying to work out how to do a Ctrl Z in my head.

Not as bad as the time, when sitting at work, someone asked me which office the boss sat in and I was frustratingly trying to move the mouse pointer off my monitor and hover it over his office door.

I got a different problem. Every time I am looking for a (insert any geek toy here) I have to ask my wife where she put it!! I leave things in places for a reason!! (^_^)

Oh, oh, mentally searching for the undo button happens to me all the time.. !

My girlfriend says that you can tell how big of a Geek someone is by how many USB cables they carry… guess I am a huge one…

I think i have at least 2 usb connectors with me every day

Finally figured out the USB cable problem, I got so tired of carrying a different cable for all my toys. I went and bought a cable that came with all of the differnt cable ends I’ll ever need, works great! Now if I could just find the ends I need when I need them ( where in the #$@$%^^&&** is that USB cable B adapter?).
