Sick and Sicker

I've been sick this past week, but that hasn't stopped me from testing applications for Lockergnome. In between trips to the toilet, I stumbled upon Huminity. I'd point you directly to its site, but I don't want you to install it. In fact, I want you to tell everybody on the PLANET not to install it. Why? Because it just raped my address book. I guess I didn't take their privacy policy literally: 'Contacts are notified by a one-time e-mail notification about their inclusion in the Huminity network.' WTF?! Assume that when you install the program, the people in your contacts list will be notified with no further warning. Sick! Well, if you got a message from me telling you to join this network, let me use this space to WARN YOU to avoid this site / software at all cost.

So for a short time you were Humanity's bee-atch

nice job spamming your friends pirillo…duh.

Well, I got the email from you, tried to install it, but thankfully it told me I didn't have an internet connection. Next time I get an email form you I'm checking here first. ;o)

I don't install anything without reading every character on the screen anymore. Every ~, ^, @…which usually leads to a lot of #@$@#$#%@@# from me when I see how much they want to intrude on my system.

I've gotten a few of those now. My mail program labels them as spam now so I missed yours. Good on yer mate.

did a search on google about huminity. the second on the list is a warning on Huminity! heres the link…http://www.quicktopic.com/19/H/AmSFWuifdQxHT

I feel better now, knowing you're not immune… ;-)

That's evil.

Yeah, I got your viral spam too, Chris. :(
One day, you're gonna learn to ditch Outlook, dude, it's the real root of all (spam) evil.

Let's all think up a way to get even.

An example of gonzo marketing http://gonzomarkets.com/ , eh?

No problem Chris. I was skeptical at first anyway. I looked at the site, but didn't take the time to download anything until I could look into it further. The big clue to me, was the fact that it refered to me as “Dear ” instead of Dear Sue.
Get well soon Chris!

What address book? (I mean, are you using Outlook or what?)

Something made me suspicious when I got the e-mail. I was going to e-mail you first though and find out if they were spamming us in your name before I did anything. You've taught us well… *wink*
